During my travels through all the wedding blogs I ran across this photo of bridesmaids in vintage prom dresses over at Once Wed (a great source for ideas and pre-owned wedding dresses). And with the Junk Gypsy Prom right around the corner in Warrington in two weeks I just had to show you. These girls were not at their 1950s prom...no they were in their friend's wedding last summer in California! This has to be one of the cutest ideas I have come across yet. Are they not adorable! What a great idea for a vintage themed spring garden wedding!!!! I'm loving the pastels and I'm not a pastel gal but they so remind me of cotton candy.......
and who doesn't love cotton candy!
And then I saw this dress on Lisa's Retro Style Blog tonight and I thought how perfect it would be for the vintage bride and a spring garden wedding! (With the cute vintage prom dresses for the bridesmaids!) It really looks like pink cotton candy!
I think I'm getting a sugar high!
Lisa has this dress for sale in her Etsy shop and it is 2 die 4! Oh if I only had a 25" waist I'd snap it up in a heartbeat! But sadly I'm afraid my waist will never see 25" again!
Then I found the cutest idea last week for Save-the-Dates that would go right along with the Vintage Prom Dresses and the Spring Garden Wedding Theme.........
These beauties were screen printed by
for a wedding this June.
Boy ....if I got one of these cuties in the mail I would surely
"Save-the-Date"
knowing the wedding was going to be a-dor-able!
And check out the Lucky-Luxe post today
for a "vintage" idea for response cards.
Beautiful!
So if our wedding was going to be this spring in the garden
I'd be all set...
(actually I'd be panicked right now
cause not everything is done! LOL)
But we've got till December and all these ideas
are just getting me rolling on some
fabulous projects for the kids.
I can't wait to show them to you
as we get them completed!
On Friday...The Bride and Her Mother and Me (Yipee)
are meeting with the photographer.
An amazingly talented young woman that
just ROCKS the camera!
And she loves all things vintage!
I am so excited!
Can't wait to show you her photos!
But I think I'll just save that for NEXT Wednesday!
Blessings from my Delighted Heart to Yours!
Patti
Ps. Sorry for the delay between blog posts. It's been a busy 2 weeks. I'll try to do better!

I absolutely love these Wednesday Wedding posts! Lots of great stuff! ~Mindy
This post is fabulous. I have a 22 year old daughter that wants a vintage wedding (still several years away). You are providing us with some brilliant ideas.
I love all your ideas! The pink bridal dress is lovely. There seems to be no wedding in my a immediate future but a mom can dream can't she:)
I love that weeding party attire, and the frothy dress is gorgeous. Also the hankies, what a great idea. Woo Hoo I almost wish I was planning a wedding. Keep us informed on all these great finds! How fun. Pam
What the heck is a weeding party? Sorry, you know what I meant, Pam
OMG! What a fabulous post!! I love those dresses!!! What an amazing idea. What I really love about it...in addition to the fact that they look stunning and will make such a wonderful unique wedding...is the cash factor. Girls are always complaining that bridesmaid dresses are so expensive and no one ever uses them again. With these vintage ones...it's much more likely that you would wear them again...and if not, put them right back up for sale...get your money back and maybe then some! And those hankies...those are brilliant!! What a wonderful keepsake.
Thanks so much for including my dress in this great post! You're right it would be perfect!! And hey the waist is actually 26 1/2...so maybe it will fit you after all;)
I'm doing a post tomorrow and I'm going to link back to your post here...'cause I just think it's awesome!!!
Hey Patti,
I've been busy but keeping up with your blog. I love the idea of the vintage hankies as wedding invitations. What a wonderful idea! Hope all is going well with you and your preps for the wedding. And when is that grandbaby due again? Take care,
Sue

Just love that vintage style wedding photo! I adore vintage prom dresses, and I'm going to show this photo to my girls (8 and 4) to get them to agree to this when they get married :) !
You know what is the best part of using vintage dresses? No UGLY bridesmaid dresses to hang in the closet afterwards! Girl, you are having way too much fun doing your research paper!
Debbie

Hi Patti , The vintage prom dresses as bridesmaid dresses is such a Fun idea. And Lisa's pink dress is the Bomb! I'm so glad you stopped by and entered my giveaway. Sue
The wedding is going to be fabulous, I can tell by all your research. I just love the hankies and I used to not like carnations (the spray painted ones). After getting some once and they lasted forever, I became a fan. And did you know, they are easy to grow?
SERIOUSLY .. THOSE are the cutest save the date hankies i have ever seen... Not sure how i got to your blog.. but love it.. come see me!
